Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

Why the PC Police had taken away

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down

At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears

You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,

not Happy Holiday !

this was sent to me and I wanted to share this with you.  If only we could go back to the good ole days as they say, we would not even be seeing such stuff or hearing many comments on the subject.

WHO KNEW

Did you know that drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache pain almost immediately-without the unpleasant side effects caused by traditional pain relievers?

Smart splinter remover: Just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue-All over the splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter sticks to the dried glue.

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY

Hello and how is your day today?  Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and lets chat for awhile.  I cleaned some this morning, did a little crocheting and visited with my daughter.  Have you ever wanted to be a magic healer and heal everyone who is hurting and sad?  I do wish I had that talent but I don't so I just say "Lord, I put this in your hands".  Ok, enough of that, this is to be a happy chat,  Thanksgiving being next week I need to get to the store and get the items I need.  I always looked so forward to that special day, the kids all came for dinner and we had our Family time.  Now, they are her, there and everywhere and have their own Families so the hubby and I just do our own thing.  By the way, did I tell you he is away on a hunting trip?  Yep, So what did I do with all my spare time?
I wish that your afternoon be a relaxing one, Stop be and chat any time you feel the need.

CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR

Is that not a beautiful picture?  My dream place.  Two-story house and white snow all around.  Being from the good ole South make a no snow place at Christmas.  I make the Holiday Season all 3 in one so it will be a longer fun time.

HOWDY-DO FROM FLORIDA

Here it is another day and of course I want to wish you a teriffic one.  Rather chilly here this morning in sunny Florida.  The sun is beginning to appear and the birds are now singing.  What a nice day.  The hubby will leave in the early morning for his 2 week hunting trip.  Now what will I do with a hubby break that long?  I"ll never tell.  Lol

Today I will bake him some pumpkin spice cookies,  a loaf of Banana nut bread and a Pumpkin cake.  Goodness, he will eat better than me.

NIP THAT COLD

Honey and Cinnamon Cold Remedy:

• 1 teaspoon honey (purchase organic raw honey here)
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix. Take this amount every few hours as soon as you feel a cold or other illness coming on. After initially trying it with only one ‘dose’ and seeing the immediate effects, I now mix up a small bowl full of honey and cinnamon and spoon it into hot drinks or dip fruit into it all day long. I find that with young children it’s easy to just treat the whole family with this simple yummy remedy upon the first sign of a sniffle from anyone

I saw this and thought I would share with you.  The older days when they had no Doctors people would make up things to help them.    Natural is way better than PILLS any day.

MICKEY HE'S THE GUY

Ok,  he is so ready to roll.  Everyday he has to go for a ride around the neighborhood.  We open the door and away he flies and jumps in the golf cart.  He will stay right there until you take him even iff it is  only around the house.  He is so funny and such a great lil guy.
