NASCAR

Racing season is almost over but before you know it , it will be a highly watch sport just as Football is. My son-in-law, Ricky Brooks has come a long way in this field. He is highly needed and wanted by several racing spots as the head tech for his honestly and value of knowledge in the racing field. He also, from time to time will race himself and he is one who believes in being fair and honest in this sport. Here is a clip of an interview done with Ricky, I am so very proud of him

Tuesday Treasure

Do you like Thrift stores? I sure do, sometimes I can hit the jackpot , then go for weeks and find nothing. I love Roosters so found this today and will use it for my tea bags. Been raining here alot and we sure needed it as they say we are below the rainfall average. But, I sure would like the white stuff that falls from the sky myself, lol.

Three more days before the jolly ole fat man arrives. I sure hope with things being so bad this year that the kiddos will get to have a good Christmas everywhere. The children is what matters and most of all remembering the reason for Christmas. Have yourself a very Merry Christmas.

Buying Bread --> -->
When you buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest? Many people "squeeze" for freshness or softness. Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Each day has a different color twist tie. They are:
Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow
So if today was Thursday, you would want a red twist tie -- not a white tie which is Fridays (almost a week old)!
To remember the colors of the twist tie, they go alphabetically by color - Blue-Green-Red-White-Yellow, Monday through Saturday, skipping Wednesdays.
Very easy to remember.
I thought this was interesting so checked it out. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different color twist ties; and even the ones with the plastic clips DO have different colors.
I learn something everyday. Now you can enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

YARD SALE FINDS

Do you like to go to thrift shops or yard sales? Sometime I do but since I am in a small place if I bring something in, something has to go out, and I told hubby it isn't going to be my things. lol This is what I got today. Old crock with the blue duck painted on. I love to go junk hunting but sometimes I find treasures.
