OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING,

Good Day to ya,
The birds are singing and Fall is surely in the air.  Yesterday as hubby and I went out for a strole you can see the energy everyone is getting by the yard decorations they are beginning to put out.  The squirrels are gathiering their food for the winter months and dancing around everywhere it seems.  I love the Fall and winter months as I love to cuddle up by the fireplace with my blankie and book, along with a nice hot cup of tea or coffee.
I hope you have a wonderful day and don't forget to take time to smell the Roses.

God Bless
xoxo

THE SMELL OF ORANGES IN FALL

Natural Citrus Air Freshener

3-4 Oranges (any variety)

Large Saucepan or Crockpot

1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon (can also use cinnamon sticks if you have them on hand)

Water

  • Cut up the oranges however you like (see, this is easy already!) I usually just quarter or 8th mine and toss them in the saucepan. Another note on the oranges - use whatever you have on hand. I like to use the ones that are starting to dry out a little, since I know no one is going to eat those. They still offer a great scent. You can also save orange peels and use a larger quantity of those, though I have not tried that yet - something to add to my "To Try" list.

  • Add cinnamon to the oranges. You can also use cinnamon sticks if you have them on hand. I usually don't have any around the house, so I simply use the ground cinnamon. Add any other spices you like - cloves, pumpkin pie spice, etc... Just sprinkle some in!

  • Fill saucepan with water.

  • Bring the mixture just to a boil, then reduce the heat and allow to simmer on the back burner of the stove. As it simmers, the scent will begin to permeate through your home - smelling divine! You do need to check in on the mixture every so often to make sure the water has not all boiled off. This did happen to me once, and just a warning, it results in having oranges and cinnamon burned forever on the bottom of your saucepan. If the water level is getting low, you can add more water, however, the more times you dilute with more water, obviously the result will be a milder scent.

  • If you are worried about remembering to check on the saucepan mixture or if you want to simmer the ingredients without being home, there is also the option of using the crockpot instead. Simply put all ingredients in the crockpot and let simmer on high without the lid
I saw this while looking around on the computer and thought I would share this with my Friends and Family.  It has such anice smell for the Fall season.

Enjoy your day

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN FLORIDA

Hello , It sure is a nice day today.  Hubby  and I took our Mickey for a ride in the Golf Cart and he so lets us know how much he loves it.  what a special and such a joy to us he is.
It's beginning to look somewhat like Fall here.  I live where we do get somewhat of a changing of the colors.  We also get very cold days and night and it freezes alot as well.  My favorite time of the year is Fall and Winter.

I hope you have a good day today.  I am baking Apple Pies and my lil home smell so wonderful.  Maybe you can drop by later and have a slice with a nice fresh cup of coffee.

OH HOW FUNNY

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I did this, so funny, as I am walking around in the store for some reason I look down and see I forgot to put my shoes on.  I had my house slippers on, now mind you, I had already been to my Doctor.  I bet she was wondering why I had house slippers on with a pair of dress Jeans and nice top.  Silly me,  Oh well, I will just call this one Ole Age.  Lol

I have done some silly things but this one beats them all to me.  I feel so silly.
With tomorrow being another day I will say I will watch my dress code a wee bit better.

Have a wonderful afternoon and evening my lovely Friends.

THEGOLDEN RULE

Afternoon, don't you wish everyone would live by this rule?  Today, I saw and heard someone being so ugly to an older couple at the store and it broke my heart.  Just so sad what our world is and has come to.  I hope that I will never be rude to the elderly as I heard today.  this was the mans parents and he got so tired of waiting on them and they were doing as fast as they could.  I sure hope he will ask forgiveness tonight if he even says a prayer.

God Bless those that poor couple.  My prayer for today.

APPLES AND FALL

I saw this recipe on line and thought I would share with you

Apple Peel Jelly

4 c firmly packed apple peels
5 c water
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
In covered stainless steel saucepan, bring peels and water to boil. Reduce heat: uncover; simmer 20 minutes. Strain through jelly bag of cheesecloth.(Do not squeeze or you'll have cloudy jelly). Measure juice (you should have about 2 cups); return to same saucepan. Stir in sugar and lemon juice. Bring to boil over medium heat; cook rapidly, uncovered, stirring, remove saucepan from heat. Pour immediately into 2 sterilized 6 oz jelly jars. skim off foam; cover; cool;store in refrigerator. Makes 2 6 oz. jars.

With Fall in the air you always think of those Apple Pies, well now you can take your peeling and make this great Jelly.

I hoe you enjoy it, that is if you make it, and I wish you a wonderful day.

HELLO MY DEAR FRIENDS

Oh how true it is, my Friends get me through so many times when I feel like just giving up.  Have I ever told you that the hardest job I have ever had is being a Mother.  Alot of good but also alot of sadness.  I am just kind of so down today as spent the day with my daughter and it breakis my heart that I can't do anything to help her sadness.  I can only be there to give her the shoulder to lean on.

Really a Hot one today here in sunny Florida.  I keep looking for Fall around the corner but just can't  seam to find him.  Hopefully one day soon it will be here.  I am a winter time gal for sure, you ask, what do you like, well
even though it say Merry Christmas, you see that snowman, yep, I love SNOW.

Ok, enough of my silly stuff, wishing you a nice afternoon and evening.

SEPTEMBER BLESSINGS

September, another month that will fly by I am sure.  Have you noticed just how fast our months are here today, gone tomorrow, kind of scarey.  With today being a Holiday I think I will just sit back kick up my feet and have a do nothing day.

Went to a few-
yard sales and I did locate one the older ice trays like we used back  in what I still say the good ole days.
You just never know what you will find.

I hope you have a good day and I will back back another day.

Love
Barbara
