KEEPING THE CHIN UP

Have you ever heard or remember the saying "Keep your chin up"?  Well, I have been doing this alot lately.  Times gets so hard or worrying and I try to remember this advise.  I know that sometimes God often delays or prayers to simply test our faith.  I know he will work his miracle in time.
Today, I plan on baking what they call Early American Brown Bread.  My Dad use to say, "If it is something different she is going to try it for sure", oh I miss my Dad so much.  He was my Rock and I feel so lost without him to talk to.
Getting Hot here in sunny Florida.  Turned the AC on two days ago and it is still going strong.  What did we do before the AC came out?  I remember as a little girl the summers but I do not remember it being so hot like it is today.  I guess that AC has spoiled me.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Yep, I am a Southern Gal.  I have lived in Florida  a very long time.  At times I think I want to move away but then again, there is no place like home. 
I hope all the Mothers have a great day.  Myself, I miss my boys who live away but my daughter is here.  So, I will wait for my phone call and be happy for that.

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Do you ever have days that you sit and your mind carries you back to your childhood days?  I do alot it seems and oh to have those care free days back once again.  My favorite memories are of my Elamentary school and all the friends that I made.  Harold School, a little four room school, a lunchroom and that was it.  Each room had to two grades in it and while the teacher taught  one side the other side would be doing their assigned work.  Then it would be recess time, We played softball, volley ball, basketball as well as on our on time.  The boys did the marbles and the girls jump rope and hop scotch.  Remember this:

A SATURDAY HOWDY

Hello, another Saturday and so nice out today.  Birds are singing and sun is out.  It doesn't get any better than that.  I finished the table runner ( see above) and finally got it on my table.  What would I do with all my time if I did not crochet?  Yep, it sure keeps me busy. 

Today I will finish the Amish book I am reading.  I enjoy reading them alot.  They sure are hard workers.  Their faith is very strong and if we had more of this in our world today maybe there would not be so much crime.  So sad to hear of all the people hurting.

TUESDAY GREETINGS

Well, can you guess what I have been up to?  Yep, the good ole spring cleaning.  I keep up with my cleaning so really all I do is put away the winter clothes and get the summer ones out.  Goodness, where did all the clothes come from?  I will never have to buy clothes again.  Lol.
The weather is so nice right now here in sunny Florida.  I sure do dread when it get really hot as it makes me grouchy.  Did I spell that right, grouchy.  Well, anyway mean.  I do not like the heat.  For sure I am a winter time gal.  Love the beautiful snow that falls from the sky.

Afternoon to my friends and family.  Raining here today so been a lazy day.  I did manage to finish a crochet Doily I was working on.  Watching Mountain Men on tv with the hubby.  Hope you are having a nice afternoon as well.
