APPLES AND FALL

I saw this recipe on line and thought I would share with you

Apple Peel Jelly

4 c firmly packed apple peels
5 c water
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
In covered stainless steel saucepan, bring peels and water to boil. Reduce heat: uncover; simmer 20 minutes. Strain through jelly bag of cheesecloth.(Do not squeeze or you'll have cloudy jelly). Measure juice (you should have about 2 cups); return to same saucepan. Stir in sugar and lemon juice. Bring to boil over medium heat; cook rapidly, uncovered, stirring, remove saucepan from heat. Pour immediately into 2 sterilized 6 oz jelly jars. skim off foam; cover; cool;store in refrigerator. Makes 2 6 oz. jars.

With Fall in the air you always think of those Apple Pies, well now you can take your peeling and make this great Jelly.

I hoe you enjoy it, that is if you make it, and I wish you a wonderful day.

What a wonderful Fall recipe! I bet the house smells fantastic while making that jelly.
I hope you are well. I've a bit of high blood pressure which I will see the doctor about next week if it doesn't get better.
I've been digging around in my shed trying to find out what happened to all of my Halloween and Fall decor and finally found it!! I had NO idea how much there was. I have NO intention of putting all of that stuff out. Not in a million years!! :)
I need to pare down and keep only my favorite things...it's just way too much stuff.
It's finally cooled to 78, at least for how.
You have not posted an email address for your blog...it is usually on your profile page..so...I am having to write you here. I hope that is ok.
I've just been tired...but feeling a bit better the past two days or so.
The children are having a big Bon Fire to celebrate the first day of Fall...so that will keep me busy much of tomorrow late afternoon to evening. Not sure I am up to it but I said I would go. The Pacific ocean can get very cold at night.
Hugs and love to you,
Mona

p.s. I forgot to tell you that my header and background is NOT really my taste at all. I have a fellow blogger do it and I pay her. For some reason she ignored what I asked for and put up what she liked. :):) Oh well, it's nice and I will change it come October. I NEED to learn how to do that...I really do!!
