BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY

Oh what a nice day here in sunny Florida.  Say, do you think Fall will come early this year?  I sure hope so.  Nothing going on much today, did some crocheting, had lunch out with my baby girl, Lori and now thinking about  reading some more of the Amish story I started yesterday. 

Since nothing going on I will say Nite Nite for today and  hope you have a nice Evening.

FINALLY FINISHED CROCHET DOILY

Morning, I finally got the Pineapple Doily finished and now what to do next?  With Christmas just around the corner I figure I will make my list and then check it twice to see what I want to give to friends.  If some knew the time it took to make a piece of crochet they would for sure cherish it forever.  I once made a king size Quilt for my son, went over one day to see the puppies there dog had and low and behold, the quilt was on the floor and she had given birth to her pups on the  long, hard work not counting the expence  QUILT.,  Well I will never again make them anything.  The daughter in law says, " well you can wash it."  Oh my sweet Jesus.

What a beautiful day today, going to be hot but then again this is sunny Florida.  I am sure looking forward to Fall as that is my favorite time of the year.  We are to have a early Fall from what I hear ands I say Bring it On.

MY SPECIAL FRIEND

 

Today I was informed of a very special friend who has now gone to be with  his Lord at a beautiful home called Heaven.  He and his wife were my very best friends and so many memories we share.  The good ole days were filled with laughter and was he ever a joker.  Jack,  is now sharing all those tales with the beautiful angels above.

Annette, I will always be here for you, Happy Birthday by the way.  Thursday is your big day, another year younger, right? 

May our Heavenly Father take care of you and I love ya dearly.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

Hello and how are you doing today?  We had some rain this morning but now the sun is out and a beautiful day here in sunny Florida.  Today has been a day that I have thought back to my childhood days.  I think about the children today and goodness are they ever lazy.  I just sit back and say to myself, you should have had my Mom, now that was a strick woman.  I use to think how terrible she was but then when I became a Mother myself I think, I deserved every thing I got as for as punishments go.  I wish I had her so I could tell her how much I appreciate all those licks I got. 

Now this is a very old picture.  I was leaving the 8th grade and moving on to high school.  I though I was the queen that day.  One thing I can say, thank goodness for my Mom and her being so stricked on education as later on all I wanted to do was quit school.  No way she said, you will get your education as that is something I can give you that no one can ever take away.  So here I am alot of years later and I said that to my children as well.  Back then we learned something in school, today well lets just say  they would rather party instead of learn.  Thank you Lord for the good ole days.

I hope your day is good and maybe you also can think back to some of your good old days.

IT'S A LOVELY DAY IN SUNNY FLORIDA

Hello to ya, I have been sorta  out of pocket  so figured I would post a few  thibngs.  We went to Indiana for a few days and now home, you know they say there is no place like home and so true.  I just like my quiet place.
My friend says it is called ole age so whatever.

I just finished another Doily

I hope to do about 3 more of these as I have people wanting one.  Have you ever thought of what you would do if you did not learn to Crochet?  I sure do.  I crochet in the car, doctor office, and where ever I am I always have some thread and  hook handy.
